This year is about refocusing life on my priorities and passions, which definitely includes live music. Music of all types inspires me every day, and Dallas offers the opportunity to enjoy every act that passes through Texas.
My concert calendar started off at the beginning of the year and shows no signs of slowing down! In 2015, I went to more concerts than I could have imagined, and while I am not trying to beat last year's record, I do plan to go to as many shows as possible again this year.

Sam's Club Now, the newfangled concept from Walmart that's due to open on Greenville Avenue, will come with more than groceries: The company has commissioned a local artist to paint a mural on the building that's dedicated to Dallas.
Sam's tapped Dallas artist Michael McPheeters to execute a mural on the side of the store facing Richmond Avenue, depicting a mashup of Dallas city life and Texas, with familiar images that range from the red Pegasus flying horse to a field of bluebonnets.

Beto lost, but Texas had an epic turnout in the 2018 midterm election on November 6, with more than half of the eligible voters in the state taking to the polls. Republicans were re-elected in every statewide race, but Democrats gained 12 new seats in the Texas House of Representatives.
